Caitlin Fitzgerald In Open-Bottom Girdle on Masters Of Sex.

Masters of Sex was one of the best series of the last decade. Just when you thought it couldn’t or wouldn’t ‘go-there’ it would. It was drama at its best and it was about sex. Nominally it was about the study of sexuality conducted by Dr. William Masters and his colleague Virginia Johnson. But in reality it was about their relationship, his suppressed sexuality and her abundance of it as well as her sex-appeal. The third main character on the series is Bill’s wife Libby played by Caitlin Fitzgerald. The viewer is always struggling with whom to support as the situation quickly turns into a three-way content when Bill starts an affair with Virginia. I highly recommend the series, not in the least for its period authentic clothing. As the 50s and 60s progress style changes, luckily during season 1 and 2 the girdle is in fashion. Those who picked the skirts and dresses for the ladies always ensured the leading actresses would be wearing open-bottom girdles. There are plenty of shots of both Lizzy Caplan and Caitlin Fitzgerald wearing such wondrous contraptions , but it is the latter who gets to wear for entire scenes. Especially in season 2 with episodes such as Dirty Jobs, Asterion and One For The Money, Two For The Show. More specifically she is wearing an open-bottom girdle, from Rago, with stockings. Both actresses made a lot about wearing girdles, they gave ladies style but were also hell to wear. I will certainly go along with the first part.
